The Project Manager, Associate is a motivated individual with leadership skills who directs and monitors the work of stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time. Duties are to assist with timeline development, ensure production is on schedule, provide supervision from start to finish, and offer guidance to improve progress. The role is in charge of assembling the project team, communicating with other departments to fill project needs, and constantly searching for ways to improve efficiency while lowering project cost.

The role will work in collaboration with various stakeholders to define the scope and objectives of a project, and will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of project outcomes and goals with end to end responsibility for successful resource planning, the setting and tracking of timelines, broad communications around initiatives that impact internal and external customers, including leadership.

What you'll do:

  • Project Management (technical & non-technical)
    • Understand the scope & objectives of the project
    • Develop & maintain project documentation & artifacts
    • Create detailed project plans
    • Conduct project reviews with project team & stakeholders
    • Set and enforce project schedules and milestone targets
    • Coordinate tasks and resources
    • Ensure that projects fulfill budget and quality standards
  • Develop Dashboard for Resource Management & Project Reporting.
  • Process Mapping (current state vs. future state).
  • Continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Identifying needs that can be successfully addressed by projects.
  • Pitching project ideas and securing approval before each project commences.
  • Developing new project plans in consultation with stakeholders, including clients and staff.
  • Outlining the human and material resources required to successfully complete each project.
  • Formulating a resource allocation strategy, and utilizing this to distribute work and finances.
  • Monitoring staff performance to ensure excellence and adherence to specified deadlines.
  • Evaluating each project's effectiveness by consulting with stakeholders, and team members.
  • Reporting on each project's utility upon the uptake of outputs.
  • Consulting with the Director of Program Management to seek guidance and input during the key phase of each project.
  • Identify & effectively manage key dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Deliver progress reports to leaders and stakeholders.
  • Establish and enforce the use of the project’s communication plan.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes constructive suggestions for change.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, project management, or relevant field of study.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a project manager role or similar experience in project management, management or business analysis.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and multi-disciplinary projects.
  • In-depth understanding of prevailing project management methods.
  • Forethought, with the capacity to identify and minimize risks.
  • Ability to detect and capitalize on others' strengths.
  • Top-notch supervision, delegation, and capacity development abilities.
  • Familiarity with tools and metrics needed to evaluate project performance.
  • Ability to perceive and ameliorate conflict and tension.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace applications including Google Calendar, Google Meet, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive and Gmail
  • Able to cultivate and nurture relationships across multiple business divisions to meet project deliverables
  • Strong ability to communicate project information to leaders and stakeholders
  • Proven ability to drive results, escalate issues effectively and prioritize changing deadlines
  • The ability to adapt to cultural and organizational climates
  • Strong ability to comfortably and effectively present ideas and concepts to diverse groups of technical and non-technical users
  • Strong ability to delegate tasks and mitigate conflict.

    How to Stand Out (Preferred):

    • Experience with Project Management software such as SmartSheets.
    • MBA or M.S in Project Management or a related field.
    • Recognized project management qualification or willing to work towards Project Management professional certification.
    • Business Analysis experience.
    • Experience managing enterprise change management projects from conception to completion.
    • Experience managing IT projects.
