JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
The Project Controls professional is responsible for overseeing, developing, and implementing project management and control procedures to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves planning, scheduling, cost control, risk management, and performance monitoring throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Support all internal and external stakeholders while providing effective communication throughout project lifecycle
- Provide administrative support to ensure project results meet requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, constructibility, schedule and cost
- Act as liaison on behalf of the project manager to ensure various activities with multiple departments are coordinated effectively. Those departments may include procurement, accounting, engineering, integrated operational services, field operations and information technology
- Support execution of engineering services, scope definition, estimating, construction strategies, scheduling, design, preparation of bid instructions and bidding, procurement, construction, record keeping, right-of-way and environmental activities
- Facilitate timely payment of invoices and track both booked cost and committed cost to ensure project projections are accounted for and accurate
- Assist project managers and construction coordinators with project plans that include: cost estimates, tracking project expenses, providing updated forecasts, contract monitoring, engineering matrices, construction reports, quality assurance and project closure to complete projects on-time and on-budget with satisfactory quality
- Act as coordinator to ensure the key documentation is properly managed for the projects. Some documents may include change orders, drawings, MOCs, work orders, etc
- Work with project manager and other various groups to timely finalize project and closing packets for property accounting and life of the asset records. Coordinator will participate in audits of the project or closing packets
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, project management or other business related field preferred and/or minimum of two years of the following job-related experience
Work Experience

Experience with developing and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with project goals, tracking costs and forecast project expenditures.

Experience preparing cost reports, identify cost overruns, and recommend corrective action.
- Experience with all phases of project management including scoping, estimating, specification, scheduling, contracting and procurement, construction, commissioning and startup, budgeting, financial analysis and regulatory compliance
- Experience with project management productivity tools and software
- Experience in coordinating teams from various workgroups, managing relationships with internal and external participants and eliciting cooperation from all resources
- Experience interacting, advising, negotiating and communicating effectively
- Experience identifying, researching, evaluating, prioritizing problems and situations, providing appropriate actions, alternatives and/or recommendations
- Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals
- Experience researching, composing, preparing, administering contracts, engineering studies, policies, procedures, reports and technical correspondence
- Experience reading and interpreting governmental regulations, codes, manuals, policies, procedures, contracts, specifications and various reports and correspondence
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills are a must in this highly collaborative role.
- Proficient in data analysis, project management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Ability to: read, write and communicate orally in English
- Ability to: work under stressful conditions and time constraints that may need to be adjusted to respond to changing circumstances

$77,000.00 - $115,000.00
