Role and responsibilities
The Project controller cross sector initiatives is responsible for the cost control of the Quality and Business Performance Improvement (Q&BPI) sector. This sector oversees the ASML-wide quality and change programs. The role therefore has a strong program controlling aspect. This role ensures effective financial oversight, accurate reporting, and qualitative decision-making that aligns with the overall strategic objectives of the organization. By collaborating with various stakeholders, the Project controller cross sector initiatives drives financial transparency and accountability, contributing to the financial health and success of ASML. You will:

  • Take charge of financial oversight within the Q&BPI sector, ensuring that cost control measures are effectively implemented. This includes monitoring budgets, forecasts and ensuring adherence to financial policies, managing the triple constraint of projects and driving accountability across the Q&BPI organization.

  • In addition to cost control, the Project controller cross sector initiatives is responsible for overseeing program controlling for the non-PGP change portfolio. This entails ensuring that prioritized initiatives and products are financially viable and positively contribute to the organization's overall goals.

  • You will play a crucial role in maintaining Business cases and related documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and aligned with organizational standards. You will serve as the first point of contact for the organization regarding, providing guidance and support to stakeholders.

  • The position also entails collecting and analyzing financial data to produce insightful reports. These reports will serve as critical tools for guiding decision-making processes and keeping stakeholders informed of financial performance.

  • Collaboration is key in this role, as the Project controller cross sector initiatives will engage with stakeholders across various departments, fostering strong relationships to facilitate alignment and ensure financial transparency. This engagement is vital for maintaining open lines of communication and ensuring that all business stakeholders are informed and aligned with financial objectives.

  • The Project controller cross sector initiatives will initiate and drive process improvement initiatives in financial reporting by identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and transparency. This involves ensuring that necessary insights are available from a single source and promoting automation in reporting processes.

Education and experience

  • Master degree, preferably in the area of Business Economics. Most important, you understand financial data, are able to explain the message behind it and initiate and drive required actions.

  • Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting within a corporate environment, with strong skills in managing complex financial data.

  • Advanced MS Office skills is essential, along with experience in cross-sector collaboration and project reporting.

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of driving financial performance and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Other information
This position is part of the ASML finance organization, within the Business Insights and Control team. The Project controller cross sector initiatives will report to the Finance Manager for Corporate Sectors within the Business Insights and Control department. This role involves close collaboration with Business Control and interaction with various departments both within and outside of finance.
