We are seeking for a Project Accountant to join our finance team. This role will act as the financial liaison between our project management teams and the finance department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, cost tracking, debt and financial reporting, and bank account management.
This is a fully on-site position in Camden, New Jersey office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month End Financial Reporting: Assist in the month end financial close process, completion of bank reconciliations and review of project accruals, costs, and billings.
- Bank Account Management: Assist in liquidity management and bank compliance reporting related to the project.
- Debt Compliance Reporting: Assist management in compiling required reporting related bank covenants.
- Cost Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and report on project costs.
- Financial Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of project financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals and accurate reporting.
- Project Billing: Manage the billing process for project, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in billing cycle.
- Relationship Management: Serve as a primary contact to distribute information between finance and project teams, ensuring that financial data is accurately communicated and understood.
Other responsibilities:
- Prepares journal entries and assists in analyzing financial results and variances, ensuring completeness and accuracy of the subsidiary general ledgers.
- Prepares account reconciliations, including the timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies and reconciling items.
- Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements in support of covenant compliance.
- Performing ad-hoc financial assignments in support of the finance team.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
- Strong knowledge of financial and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with Microsoft office with an emphasis on strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to co-ordinate with various teams throughout the organization.

- CPA preferred
- Construction or Utilities industry experience
