What You’ll Do
- Lead Installations: Take charge of commissioning large, complex surface preparation equipment at customer sites, ensuring systems are fully operational and exceeding expectations.
- Be the Expert: Apply your deep technical knowledge to guide customers in the operation and maintenance of our products, resolving issues with confidence.
- Troubleshoot Like a Pro: Identify and fix technical problems swiftly, minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment performance.
- Empower Customers: Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on training programs to help customers unlock the full potential of our products.
- Prototype Testing: Put new ideas to the test! Evaluate prototypes, ensuring they meet rigorous performance standards, and share your findings with the product management team.
- Ensure Excellence: Manage rework processes and service bulletins with efficiency, keeping equipment running smoothly and up to date.
- Support Every Step: Provide exceptional technical support remotely and on-site, while relaying valuable customer insights to our product management team.
- Keep It Organized: Maintain detailed records of installations, troubleshooting, and training sessions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Collaborate for Success: Partner with sales, engineering, and customer service teams to drive product improvements and deliver exceptional results for our customers.
What You Bring
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent experience, with a proven track record in commissioning, troubleshooting, and training for industrial equipment.
- Technical Know-How: Expertise in surface preparation products, including mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software is a must.
- Tech-Savvy: Solid experience with ERP systems (SAP, PRMS), CRM tools, and Microsoft Office.
- Problem-Solver: You thrive under pressure, resolving challenges quickly and efficiently.
- Excellent Communicator: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to train, support, and build trust with customers.
- Travel Enthusiast: Willing to travel 60–70% of the time to customer sites as needed.
- Detail-Oriented: You stay organized and focused, even in a fast-paced environment.
Residency Requirements
- Residency for this role is flexible; however, candidates residing in the Central Time Zone are preferred. In addition to customer visits throughout the U.S., frequent travel to Kansas City is required to fulfill the responsibilities of this position effectively.
