John Hancock Retirement is redefining our US Retirement business to enhance customer savings for retirement. The Product Owner will drive the US Retirement platforms using an agile delivery model, acting as the voice of both the business and the customer. This role is crucial in aligning business goals with actionable results to realize the US Retirement strategy, vision, and OKRs.
Product Led Customer Value Focus:
- Vision and Roadmap: Contribute to the product vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer needs. Understand the competitive landscape and market for the specific domain.
- Delivery: Focus on tactical delivery of product components aligned with priorities. Serve as the owner of story outcomes, ensuring alignment with business strategy and customer needs.
- Customer Centricity: Partner with Customer Experience (CX) teams to ensure solutions meet customer needs through human-centered design.
- Backlog Management: Guide story creation aligned with product strategy. Prioritize backlog items at every iteration and validate story completion to assure quality.
- Partnerships and Go-To-Market Support: Maximize value delivered by Agile teams and support Go-To-Market activities as required.
- Reporting and Improvement: Maintain a good understanding of business, customer, and end-user needs. Provide feedback during iteration planning, backlog refinement, and team retrospectives.
- Product Team Participation: Actively participate in Product team activities
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a business role and project management.
- Previous or active role as a SAFe Product Owner is strongly preferred.
- Business knowledge and understanding of the US Retirement business.
- Experience with FIS/Omni recordkeeping is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in analyzing complex problems and implementing solutions that drive business results.
- Experience in building digital capabilities and driving initiatives.
- Strong skills in user story requirement gathering and documentation.
- Excellent partner management and communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of system design, analysis, and user testing.
- Exceptional organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to cultivate relationships with key stakeholders across various functions and levels.

Salary range is expected to be between
$71,550.00 USD - $119,250.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
