What You'll Do: 

As the Product Owner you will own the Product Backlog and Sprint Grooming sessions throughout the quarter. The Product Owner will help define business requirements, own the quarterly planning based on defined business initiatives, and create user stories for each sprint. The Product Owner will be working with multiple products and must be strong in organizational and prioritization skills. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Operates as a representative of the product team with development teams 

  • Owns the sprint and quarterly coordination of key initiatives 

  • Maintains high level knowledge of all product initiatives and communicates deadline changes to leadership in coordination with Product Ops 

  • Responsible for managing processes for key inputs, key activities, key outputs, & key goals 

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements 

  • Manages the product backlog and prioritizes based on changing requirements 

  • Oversees all quarterly stages of product creation including design and development 

  • Creates user stories in a standardized format 

  • Liaisons with the product team and end-users to deliver updates 

  • Participates in sprint meetings and owns backlog refinement sessions 

  • Owns the completion of the committed initiatives in the quarter 

  • Mitigates roadblocks to achieve sprint/release goals 

  • Leads the product-release plans and sets expectations for delivery of new functionalities 

  • Serves as product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions 

 

Who You Are: 

  • Passionate about product growth and enthusiastic about helping purpose driven organizations  

  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience in product management or business analysis with SaaS software 

  • 3+ years of experience in business analysis, or related fields 

  • Ability to engage and support cross-functional teams 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organization and follow-up skills 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment  

  • Experience launching product software for clients and consumers 

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in various stages, from infancy to delivery 

  • Ability to learn and understand various computer systems 

  • General understanding of web technology and the software development lifecycle 

 

Physical Considerations: 

  • Ability to work in a general office environment 

  • Ability to handle extended periods of computer-based work, including telephone 

  • Ability to work flexible and long hours, as needed, including outside regular business hours and days 

 

Travel Considerations: 

  • Domestic and/or international travel required, estimated up to 15
