You'll lead initiatives supporting the User group at Roblox, spearheading the development of innovative features and tools, collaborating cross-functionally to deliver impactful products focused on UI modernization, scaling open source efforts, and optimizing the Roblox platform across all devices—including Xbox, PlayStation, iOS, Android, and Meta Quest.

You will report to the Head of Consumer Product Marketing. This role is located at our headquarters in San Mateo, California. #LI-Hybrid

You will:

Lead go to market for major feature launches

  • Drive GTM strategy and execution for platform, in experience and product teams, ensuring clear communication and adoption.
    • Includes creating the marketing strategy, messaging, and positioning in support of these product teams.
  • Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Communication, and Developer Relations to roll out UI optimization (widgets, badges, VR haptics) & modernization efforts (i.e. icon library redesign, new UI components).
  • Work directly with Sony, Microsoft, Apple, Google (3rd party platforms)
  • Create messaging, positioning, and key audience education materials to support these launches.
  • Depending on the product, you’ll engage directly with both developers and users, ensuring the right messaging and resources are available to each audience.

Develop and promote best practices for platform optimization

  • Gather insights from developer and user communities to refine strategies and improve adoption.
  • Establish clear best practices to help developers create optimized, high-performance, and user-friendly experiences on Roblox.
  • Build and execute a multi-channel strategy—including DevForum posts, in-product messaging, tutorials, webinars, direct outreach, and community engagement—to drive widespread awareness and adoption among developers, including Xbox, PlayStation, iOS, Android, and Meta Quest.
  • Create compelling, high-quality developer-facing materials that effectively communicate best practices and drive adoption, ensuring clarity and engagement across all developer touchpoints.
  • Scale open source efforts by supporting external communication, creating technical content, and driving awareness among developers.

You have:

  • 7+ years of product marketing experience, preferably within a developer-focused or global platform company.
  • Experience driving go-to-market strategies for major product launches, particularly for consumer UI/UX, infrastructure, or developer tools.
  • Proven track record driving cross-functional alignment, cohesive collaboration and working with product and other key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passion for developer platforms and an understanding of how to drive adoption within creator communities.
  • High attention to detail including precise and effective communications.
  • Ability to represent Roblox externally, including working directly with platform partners such as PlayStation, Xbox, and others to align on messaging and positioning.
  • Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, compelling messaging for different audiences.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with open source marketing.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.

Annual Salary Range

$212,870$258,530 USD

Roles that are based in our San Mateo, CA Headquarters are in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional in-office on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
