The Product Marketing Manager serves as the bridge between global teams and regional commercial & operational teams to oversee new product launches & developments, new opportunities for cost reduction, optimization and implementation of product marketing strategies.


This role involves working closely with multiple stakeholders both internal and external to ensure the portfolio’s success and alignment with the company's overall business goals. 

What You'll Do

  • Portfolio Design 
  • Defines the optimal regional portfolio of products to win in all identified consumers segments and channels that the company/brand intends to operate in. 
  • Regularly looks for customer problems in the space we operate in - “the Sleep Industry” - and propose solutions in the form of products or services that make commercial sense for the company.
  • Synthesizes customer insights, technical know-how, cost information, marketing, and operations to define a coherent product roadmap designed to generate incremental profits for the company. 
  • Learns from best practices but also driven to continuously test and evolve our best-guess hypothesis for winning a market segment with a product to keep generating better results.

  • Product Strategy & Positioning 
  • Develop and communicate clear product positioning and messaging that aligns with customer pain points and needs, market trends, and brand/company values.
  • Ensures that our products are consistently portrayed well across all touchpoints to stand out versus competitors. 
  • Identifying new growth opportunities for the portfolio that is aligned with company objectives i.e. new product launches, cross-selling initiatives, or portfolio optimizations.
  • Crafts a clear product brief to initiate any product development process – integrating business objectives and opportunities, consumer insights, and market/competitive landscaping.
  • Plans and orchestrates the right go-to-market strategies for new product launches and campaigns. Ensures campaigns and launches are impactful and are aligned with customer demand. 

  • Product Lifecycle Management: 
  • Works with country teams and regional operations teams to ensure a healthy portfolio by proper management of the lifecycle of our products: 
  • Test: smartly live testing of our products to answer our strategic questions on commercial viability while minimizing operational and financial costs.
  • Scale: only when product-market fit and business incrementality are are proven. Volumes sold are not the only measure of success, but more importantly, the sustainable impact on our P&L.
  • Kill: phasing out low-impact SKUs and product groups – and co-developing the tactics needed to phase them out. 

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: 
  • Work closely with country, marketing, operations, and R&D teams to ensure alignment on key initiatives, product migrations, or new product releases. Orchestrates the cross-functional teams to ensure proper end-to-end management of projects 
  • Support the commercial and marketing team in the creation of content related to the products/categories 

  • Performance Tracking & Optimization 
  • Develop sound product KPIs and analyze the performance of priority products and categories to ensure objectives are being met. 
  • Continuously optimize strategies based on data-driven insights to improve results and overall ROI 

  • Manage Product Knowledge and Data 
  • Ensure proper management of relevant product information such as product marketing toolkits, product cost information, operation data such as SKUs, Specs and Dimensions, Booklets, etc. 

Who We're Looking For

  • Strong project management skills – ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams with multiple markets, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills to work with commercial teams on analyzing performance to optimize category’s performance via web shop/portfolio/communication tests.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft clear, compelling messaging for internal stakeholders and end consumers. 
  • Proven ability to execute go-to-market strategies and product launches that drive customer engagement and profit. 
  • Solid experience with market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis. 
  • Data-driven mindset with experience in using analytics tools to measure campaign performance and knows how to optimize efforts from the numbers. 
  • Has the passion for innovation and new product possibilities.
  • A potential thought leader that is passionate to learn more about products within Emma including certain technical knowledge.
