Position Overview
We seek an experienced and dynamic Product Manager to join our innovative Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company in the restaurant industry. As a Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product line by taking part in product strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality solutions to our clients. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced and rapidly growing organization, where you can make a significant impact.
This is a remote role, but may not be performed in the following states: California, Colorado, Maine, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C, or Washington. Access to an office space is available in Overland Park, KS and Houston, TX.
As a product manager for MENU you will be responsible for shaping and executing our product vision, strategy, and roadmap for MENU.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with the company's strategic goals and vision for MENU
- Conduct thorough market research and gather customer feedback to identify emerging industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, sales, marketing, and engineering teams, to gather requirements and translate them into actionable product plans.
- Work closely with the engineering team to prioritize and execute product features and enhancements, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards.
- Drive the product development process, including defining user stories, creating wireframes and prototypes, conducting user testing, and overseeing product launches.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their pain points, gathering feedback, and incorporating it into product improvements.
- Monitor and analyze key product metrics, user behavior, and market trends to inform product optimization and identify growth opportunities.
- Champion a customer-centric approach by advocating for user experience and ensuring the product meets or exceeds client expectations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree. MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager in the SaaS industry, preferably within the restaurant POS or related domain.
- Strong understanding of the restaurant industry and its unique challenges, including familiarity with various types of dining establishments a plus.
- Demonstrated success in driving the entire product lifecycle, from concept to launch, with a track record of delivering innovative and successful software products.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Proven experience in gathering and analyzing customer feedback, market research, and competitive analysis to inform product decisions.
- Technical background or ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and understand technical constraints and opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and project management tools.
- Experience with user-centered design principles and UX/UI best practices.
