What You’ll Do: 

As a leading innovator in the workwear and safety footwear industry, dedicated to providing high-performance products designed to keep workers safe, comfortable, and productive; we are seeking a Footwear Product Manager with a passion for product development and a deep understanding of the workwear and safety market. 

The Footwear Product Manager will play a key role in managing the lifecycle of our workwear and safety footwear products. With a strong focus on product innovation, market trends, and customer needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with an industry veteran and learn firsthand from a seasoned Vice President of Product.

How You’ll Do It:

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Participate in the full lifecycle of footwear products, including defining product specifications, working with design and development teams, coordinating with suppliers, and monitoring the product's success post-launch.
  • Product Briefs & Documentation: Create and maintain clear and detailed product briefs that outline specifications, design requirements, features, and intended use cases. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible for all teams involved.
  • Prototype Review & Testing: Participate in the review of prototypes and samples, providing detailed feedback on design, functionality, and performance. Coordinate internal testing, ensuring products meet functional, safety, and durability standards.
  • Product Adjustments: Work closely with the design and manufacturing teams to make product adjustments based on feedback from testing or consumer insights, ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.
  • Sales & Customer Support: Work closely with sales teams and customer service to gather feedback from customers, address concerns, and ensure product performance in real-world use cases. Support sales initiatives with product knowledge and marketing materials.
  • Quality & Compliance: Ensure products meet industry standards, safety certifications, and regulatory requirements for safety footwear. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure product performance and durability.
  • Mentorship & Learning: Work closely with the Vice President of Product to gain insights into advanced product management practices, strategy development, and leadership within the footwear industry.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 3 - 5 years of prior safety, work or outdoor footwear experience in product development, bringing products from concept to creation
  • Market Oriented: ability to analyze market trends and competitor strategy to develop a comprehensive understanding of the category and product positioning
  • Excellent Communicator: From product briefs to full product presentations, cross-functionally and with an executive audience.
  • Functional/Technical or purpose-built categories preferred (Workwear, Tactical, Hunting, Outdoor, etc)
  • Understanding of an end-to-end footwear supply chain, including all components, costing, manufacturing, and component suppliers
  • Ability to tackle several projects simultaneously and work well within a fast-paced and growing organization
  • Sense of style with ability to connect with the BRUNT brand
  • Minimum of 3 days per week at the BRUNT HQ in North Reading, MA
  • Flexibility to work with global team (meaning late night and early morning zooms as needed)
  • International travel 1-2x / per year, Occasional domestic travel
