Job Title: Technical Product ManagerLocation: Remote (US-based, with occasional travel as needed)

Role Overview:

As a Product Manager at DualEnroll, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and evolving our SaaS platform to better serve our customers in higher education. This is a techno-functional role that requires a strong understanding of both technology and user-centric product management principles. You will bridge the gap between technical teams, customer needs, and business goals, ensuring our platform remains a leading solution in the dual and concurrent enrollment space.

Key Responsibilities:Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Prioritize platform performance and operational scalability improvements to ensure system readiness for our peak volume period (each fall term – starts Aug. 1)
  • Prioritize feature development and enhancements based on customer feedback, market trends, and strategic goals.
  • Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with DualEnroll’s business objectives.

Technical Collaboration

  • Work closely with engineering teams to define requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for product features and core platform enhancements.
  • Lead weekly sprint planning meetings and manage Jira with the development team.
  • Manage third party relationships (like Ellucian) by submitting enhancement requests, escalating issues, and gathering product information. 
  • Collaborate on QA processes to validate product quality and functionality before release.
  • Oversee security compliance - Maintain HECVAT and respond to other customer driven security questions/requirements.

Data Integration

  • API research and discovery - Identify which Student Information System (SIS) APIs are available and which to use for various customer requirements.
  • Join client calls to assist in SIS data integration and new implementations.

Customer-Centric Product Development

  • Engage directly with colleges and end-users to understand their needs, challenges, and workflows.
  • Support sales by assisting in RFP responses and technical product demonstrations.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for product updates, both internally and externally.
  • Present product updates, feature demonstrations, and future roadmaps to leadership, partners, and customers.
  • Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure clear and consistent communication.

Required Qualifications:

Experience: 5+ years of experience in product management in SaaS, preferably in education technology.

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based platforms and APIs.
  • Advanced understanding of database systems, integration tools, and user authentication protocols.
  • Proficiency with Agile methodologies and JIRA.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of higher-education administrative systems, particularly SIS and the student registration process.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the education sector.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience in cross-functional team collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Ellucian Colleague and/or Ellucian Banner and Ethos integrations.
  • Experience working with a native SaaS platform where all customers run on the same code base and individual client experiences are managed via configuration.
