Key Responsibilities:

  • Product vision and strategy: Define and communicate Ternary's vision, spirit, and strategy. Develop a data-driven product system Ternary uses to explore new opportunities and make strategic tradeoff decisions. Set a strong vision for our product, and have Engineers, PMs, and UX Designers on the team look to you for product guidance.
  • Customer insights and market analysis: Engage with customers, prospective customers, and industry experts to gather insights and feedback. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to stay abreast of trends in the FinOps ecosystem, informing and refining our product roadmap accordingly.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, product marketing, sales, and customer success teams to ensure successful product development and launches. Partner with the VP of Product Delivery and CTO to ensure rapid translation of strategy into product capabilities.
  • Product development: Lead the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch. Communicate a well-defined product vision to the team, guiding what to build and what to avoid. Prioritize features and collaborate with the VP of Product Delivery to coordinate execution across Scrum teams.
  • Performance metrics and decision making: Define and track key product performance metrics. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions on product capabilities, priorities and timelines.
  • Team leadership and mentorship: Foster a collaborative and innovative product development culture. Recruit and mentor top product managers, ensuring their success and growth. Inspire teams to innovate and experiment, accelerating feature delivery. Support the career development of engineering managers and product managers.

  • Strong understanding of market trends, the competitive landscape, and customer needs
  • Proficiency in balancing short-term goals with long-term strategic initiatives.
