Position Overview
A creative content developer conceiving of and executing a range of digital and broadcast visual work for Consumer Reports Video at our Auto Test Center in Colchester, CT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report daily to the CR Auto Test Track in Colchester, CT
- Set up equipment and participate in on-site productions
- Record a-roll with Auto Test talent, and b-roll of test cars and testing procedures on the Auto Test track for use in Road Tests, podcasts, CRTV, social media, etc
- Edit Road Test videos, podcast episodes, social media content, and other Autos content using Adobe's suite of editing software
- Manage media related to Autos video work
- Maintain cameras and other video equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least three to five years of experience in digital video or broadcast TV production.
- Strategic creative skills and strong writing skills essential.
- Must be able to work in self-directed capacity and to conceive and execute compelling visual story-telling techniques.
- Can translate complex technical information into informative and entertaining video reports.
- Ability to manage and lead in a cross-organizational capacity required.
- Proficient with Adobe Premiere editing, Google Docs, and Apple OS.
- Bilingual in English / Spanish may be required based on needs of position.
- May be required to maintain a valid driver's license if utilizing a company vehicle.
This is a Limited Duration position expected to end on or about May 31, 2025.
At Consumer Reports, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The target salary range for this position is $83K-$86K. This posted range is reflective of the NY/CA market. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. Compensation for the successful candidate will be informed by the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience.
