Procurement Manager

IFF is a global leader in the chemical industry. With approximately 24,000 employees worldwide, including around 550 in Walsrode, we have been on a growth trajectory for years. In Walsrode, IFF operates an industrial park and several production facilities for products based on the renewable raw material cellulose.
In this position, you will be responsible for operational and strategic procurement and supplier management for the NC business unit and the industrial park facilities.
For our Walsrode, Lower Saxony location, we are excited to hire a permanent colleague.

Your Responsibilities will be:

• Strategic and operational responsibility for the procurement of raw materials, consumables, machinery, spare parts, and services

• Procurement market analysis and the establishment, management, and maintenance of supplier relationships

• Development and implementation of business continuity plans to minimize supply risks (risk management)

• Conducting price and contract negotiations and negotiating framework agreements

• Further development of purchasing processes

• Close collaboration with business and operations (NC & IPark)

• Cost control as well as establishing and adhering to budgets

Who You are:

• Completed studies, preferably in economics, with a focus on purchasing & logistics/supply chain or a completed commercial apprenticeship with further specialized qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in strategic and/or operational purchasing, ideally in an international environment for the procurement of raw materials and components

• In-depth knowledge of legal frameworks as well as sourcing and risk management tools

• Independent and analytical working style, fast-paced

• Perceptiveness, determination, and teamwork skills

• Confident demeanor

• Excellent negotiation skills in both German (min. B2, preferably C1) and English

For your information: IFF has announced its intention to sell its Nitrocellulose (NC) business unit and the industrial park (IPark) to the Czechoslovak Group (CSG). The sale is expected to close in the first half of 2025, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions. The NC business unit and the IPark will remain part of IFF until closing, at which time they will be transferred to CSG.
