Job Description:
The purpose of a Procurement Manager’s role is to effectively and efficiently manage the procurement process within an organization to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services while maintaining quality and compliance in Europe.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the development, implementation, management and performance of sourcing strategies within a given field, to meet business goals and objectives.
- Driving external sourcing activities (Supply Reliability, Evaluation, Cost etc)
- Definition and negotiation of business adequate- / relevant contracts (for example: Global Supply-, Partnership-, License or Service Agreements)
- Objectives and Risk management transferred into short, mid and long-term activities. Identifying and mitigating potential risks in the supply chain, such as disruptions or quality issues.
- Regular update of supply market intelligence
- Inform and consult management and operations about trends in the supply market or potential business risks and opportunities
- Manages the assessment, selection and development of suppliers to meet commodity cost and performance goals.
- Total cost approach (feasibility assessments, critical and cross functional thinking)
- Define, implement, execute and report cost saving and cost avoidance projects
- Provide input for monthly reporting of Global Procurement KPIs
- Developing and negotiating contract specifications, work statements, and terms & condition services in a cost-effective manner.
- Continuous Improvement: identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost savings. The specific duties and requirements may vary depending on the organization and industry.
- Cost and price responsible for all externally sourced products and services (provides approval). Analyzing costs, market trends, and supplier terms to optimize procurement strategies and reduce expenses.
- Compliance: ensuring procurement processes adhere to company policies and relevant regulations.

Job Requirements:
Critical Knowledge and Qualifications:
- Min 5 years of experience in typical relevant area e.g. Strategic Procurement
- Experience in Contract Management
- International Environment, work in matrix organization
- Project Management Experience
- University degree (technical or commercial) or adequate experience of minimum 5 years in Strategic Procurement;
- SAP user, Microsoft Office
- Fluent in English, any other language is an asset
- Technical knowledge and general understanding of manufacturing processes and materials
- Strong Procurement knowledge
- Cost control and Price negotiations (incl. price analysis, calculation methods, contracting and negotiation skills)
- Project Management incl. functional leadership experiences (work in matrix organizations)
- Critical but open-minded thinking and clear accountability (subject ownership)
