Your future team:
Process Department is an important part of Group Technology, which provides machines, production equipment and entire production lines to our factories worldwide.
You will become of the Process Team. The team consists of 19 international process experts based in Denmark, Germany, UK, and Poland describing themselves as process consultants helping factories, projects, and R&D with their process expertise. Our job is to support factories, research and development, and the various engineering departments to improve and run our production lines in an effective way. Doing so, we spend a lot of our time on-site as we help set up new factories, assess and evaluate existing production equipment and aid with problem solving such as the following:
Quality issues plagued the line, and the Process Engineer was called to find the root cause and remediate the issues. After methodical analysis of data and line inspections a number of changes was made to test the various theories causing the issues. Finally new settings were implemented, and the quality issues were resolved.
What you will be doing:
While already bringing significant process experience to the table, you will be onboarded with knowledge about the products, the production processes as well as methods and tools for retrieving and analyzing data.
We will provide you with the necessary knowledge to understand stone wool production and our processes in depth. So, you can look forward to a thorough introduction to how different process parameters affect the quality of the finished products and how this influences production key figures.
To facilitate your success, you will work closely with a mentor and tackling tasks varying in extent and duration. You will travel to sites across the globe to:
- Consult, map, and advice the engineers and operators of our factories to optimise or troubleshoot their processes
- Together with engineering departments we introduce new methods, equipment, and processes, lending your expertise to ensure efficiency
- Jointly with the research and development department to perform e.g. measurements, testing, and try out new equipment, processes, or products
- Be part of teams that specify new production lines or factories and play a key role in making these operate as intended during the early start-up phase – this includes training of local staff
What you bring:
Your are curios and eager to learn. Other than that, we are open to your background, but you will need be able to discern complex physical processes, enabling you to understand the process parameters involved in the stone wool production. Likewise, you will need to understand the human aspect of the production process, which will come in handy when troubleshooting.
It is also important that you can navigate at all levels of an organisation and within a factory setting. So, a good portion of frankness combined with great communication skills will be an asset, e.g. when challenging factory managers to convince them to invest in required changes.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Hold a master’s degree in engineering e.g. as a mechanical engineer, chemical engineer, electrical/automation engineer, or a marine engineer
- Have an interest in gathering knowledge of the stone wool production
- Are willing to travel the world between 100 and 150 days per year
- Are professional in English, both in speech and writing
- Optionally have a background from commissioning and/or process control/optimisation
- Have a drivers license.
We know that you might not meet all the things on this list, but you might bring skills and experience that we haven’t even included here.
What we offer:
Enter the world and enter your office. Not only will you meet colleagues around the world, you will also meet a plethora of international colleagues in the office. The department includes people from Croatia, Italy, Germany, UK, Poland, Tunesia, and Denmark.
- We support your development and your career through local education and training programs
- Our factories are the most advanced in the stone wool production industry. They are highly automated with advanced process control and automation. Also, we strive to make them as modern, clean, and safe as possible.
