Job Summary:
This role supports manufacturing engineering activities in production processes, equipment, machinery, fixtures, gauges, and tooling.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Consults with management, engineering, and other personnel on manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Supports research and recommendation new manufacturing methods, machinery, and equipment to increase productivity, reduce waste, and reduce costs.
- Proposes improvements for the manufacturing processes.
- Maintain and update CAD documentation for plant layout designs, fixture, and equipment locations.
- Supports company-wide standardization of processes, equipment, and management systems.
- Proposes the design and specification of gauges, fixtures, tooling, material handling and material transportation in support of ongoing manufacturing operations.
- Assures low down time in lines.

- Develops models of alternative processing methods to test the feasibility of new applications, systems, and processes. Designs and recommends implementation of improved procedures.
SCOPE & IMPACT:
The individual must plan, organize, and optimize the manufacturing processes. With a thorough understanding of manufacturing concepts and the ability to pick up new technologies quickly, this position has a major impact on reducing downtime, improving efficiency, and reducing costs within manufacturing processes. Helps to document current production processes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field with 0 – 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
- Intermediate to advanced MS Excel.
- Intermediate AutoCAD
- English basic proficiency.
- AutoCAD
- Up to 5% Travel Required.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge/experience in lean manufacturing and statistical processes control.
- Knowledge in upholstery processes.
- Experience with process improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing and Core Tools.

Required to sit, repetitive hand motion (such as typing), to hear, listen, and talk.
