Kaeppel Consulting is seeking highly skilled Process Engineer Consultants with expertise in banking lending, commercial lending, and deposits to join our team on a long-term contract. The role is primarily remote, but candidates should be available for occasional on-site travel to Jacksonville, FL. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and optimizing banking processes to improve efficiency, reduce risk, and enhance customer experience.Key Responsibilities:
- Process Analysis & Design:
- Analyze current banking lending, commercial lending, and deposit processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Design, document, and implement streamlined processes that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Process Optimization:
- Identify and implement improvements in end-to-end banking processes with a focus on increasing productivity, reducing operational costs, and minimizing risks.
- Leverage data and process performance metrics to continuously improve processes.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, operations, IT, and compliance to ensure alignment of process changes.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into efficient process workflows.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all redesigned processes are compliant with relevant banking regulations and policies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in banking industry regulations and best practices in process engineering.
- Technology Integration:
- Partner with IT teams to ensure process improvements are supported by technology platforms and tools, including automation where applicable.
- Recommend and help implement new tools or systems that support process optimization.
- Project Management:
- Lead or contribute to process improvement projects from inception to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project goals.
- Document processes and create training materials for employees to ensure smooth transitions to new processes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer or Business Process Consultant within the banking sector, specifically in lending, commercial lending, and deposit operations.
- In-depth understanding of banking processes, including but not limited to:
- Loan origination and servicing
- Commercial lending workflows
- Deposit account lifecycle management
- Risk and compliance considerations in lending and deposits
- Strong skills in process mapping, workflow design, and process re-engineering.
- Proficiency in using process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or BPM (Business Process Management).
- Experience working with banking systems and tools related to lending and deposit management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex process changes to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience with remote work environments and managing projects or teams virtually.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma, BPM, or similar process improvement methodologies.
- Experience working with digital transformation initiatives in the banking sector.
- Familiarity with banking regulations such as Dodd-Frank, BSA/AML, CCAR, and FDIC requirements.
- Experience in automation technologies such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to streamline banking processes.
