Position Summary
This person is responsible for ensuring that business processes align with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on monitoring, evaluating, and improving compliance within operational workflows to minimize risks and enhance efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, update, and oversee the Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Risk Management System (SARLAFT) or the applicable risk system depending on the industry (SAGRILAFT, PTEE, etc.).

Maintain the compliance manual with the company’s policies and procedures.

Analyze and report suspicious transactions to the UIAF (Financial Intelligence and Analysis Unit).

Implement internal controls to mitigate risks of corruption, money laundering, and terrorism financing.

Supervise the application of restricted lists and background checks (OFAC, UN, etc.).

Supervise the application of the No PO no Pay policy across the company partnering with the different departments to ensure the proper adoption and execution of it.

Train employees on risk prevention and regulatory compliance.

Train employees on Purchase Order creation and internal policies and procedures compliance working closely with the Procurement team and the Account Payable team.

Submit mandatory reports to the Superintendency of Companies, Superfinanciera, Supersalud, among others, depending on the sector.

Coordinate internal and external audits related to compliance.
Education & Experience:
Education: University degree in Accounting, Finance, industrial engineering or others.
Experience:
-
A minimum of 5 years of total work experience.

3 to 5 years of experience in the areas of compliance, audit, internal control, risk or financial regulation.

3 to 5 years of experience in process design and improvement. User training. Change management and adoption.

50 hours minimum in courses on ML/FT/FPADM risk management through specialization, courses, diploma courses, seminars, congresses (including UIAF course, among others), (including UIAF course, among others), accredit a professional degree, and experience in positions related to the administration of SAGRILAFT.

Ivalua system knowledge is preferred.

Ability to read, write and communicate in English and Spanish in a business setting is required. B2 – C1 English Level.
