Job Description:

Procurement Senior Admin Asst

General responsibilities:

The Procurement Admin Asst oversees procurement activities for West Coast South America countries, including Ocean Freight negotiations with carriers.

Responsabilidades:

  • Negotiate competitive FCL/LCL rates for local and global business opportunities, for outbound/inbound services required for South America West Coast countries.
  • Update internal pricing systems and provide guidelines to Pricing Analyst to complete Ocean Freight business opportunities..
  • Continuously monitor the maritime market, notifying updates, issues, and challenges that may impact operations across each country.
  • Provide support to operations, pricing, and financial teams when maritime service issue related to carrier negotiation arise.
  • Assist in strategic negotiations of high impact for the company within the countries managed.
  • Update FCL Ocean Freight negotiated rates regularly to feed other UPS platforms.
  • Conduct strategic negotiations with Ocean Freight carriers ocean transportation services

Qualifications:

  • Professional or student in the final semesters of a degree in International Trade, International Business, Marketing, or related fields (Preferred)
  • Experience in Procurement, Pricing (rate negotiation, or related fields)
  • English (75% - 80%) Obligatory
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
