The Challenge to Solve
We’re quickly growing our pizzeria supplies division, launching in-house production of custom-printed pizza boxes. We’re seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Lead Digital Print Operator to run our new industrial digital printer. This is a hands-on role, perfect for someone who thrives in a production environment, enjoys solving problems on the fly, and is excited about building new processes from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain high-volume digital printers designed for corrugated cardboard.
- Manage daily print queues and prioritize jobs for optimal workflow.
- Use and troubleshoot RIP software to prepare, adjust, and send files to the press.
- Perform regular maintenance, cleaning, and calibration to ensure consistent print quality.
- Monitor print output for color accuracy, registration, and overall quality standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical or software issues and coordinate with service technicians when needed.
- Assist with or oversee downstream finishing processes including bundling and shrink-wrapping.
- Track material usage and job data for production reporting.
- Collaborate with production and CX teams to ensure job specs are met and timelines are hit.
- Provide input into workflow improvements and help establish SOPs for future scale.
- Support training of additional operators as the team grows.
Qualifications
- 3+ years operating industrial digital presses (corrugated experience a plus).
- Strong familiarity with RIP software (e.g., Fiery, Onyx, Caldera, or similar).
- Experience working with large job queues and tight production timelines.
- Technical troubleshooting skills, both hardware and software.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of print quality standards.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving production environment.
Preferred but Not Required
- Experience with finishing processes (bundling, shrink-wrapping, cutting).
- Knowledge of color calibration, profiles, and ICC standards.
- Forklift certification or familiarity with material handling.

Salary Range: $60-70K + benefits.
