About the role

RF expertise for wireless system design and integration. This includes the development and optimization of various wireless technologies including 2G/3G/4G, 802.11 (WiFi), Bluetooth and other IoT technologies, work on radio performance optimization, solving interference problems within EMI and radio frequencies adherence to carrier and industry standard.

What you'll do

• Manage the JDMs execution of communications deliverables, test results, and ensure that any identified issues are properly tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
• Perform moderate to complex engineering tasks (RF design, documentation, issue analysis, sourcing planning); solves a broad range of problems of varying scope or complexity.
• Responsible for wireless communication system design, integration and validation (including multi-radio coexistence mitigation, RF link budget planning and issue debugging).
• Characterize and debug desense and EMI issues to meet requirements.
• Take the product through development, compliance testing, operator testing, ramp up and sustaining (include troubleshooting for field issue, solution implementation and modification).
• Work closely with hardware and software engineers to develop an implementation that meets system requirements.
• May cover antenna joint design with suppliers.

What qualifications will you need to be successful?

• Master degree with a minimum of 10 years related engineering experience.
• Experience designing cost effective wireless communication system.
• Knowledge of radio frequency interference theory, RF immunity theory and antenna theory.
• Fluent in the following wireless communications standards, WiFi, Bluetooth, GSM, UMTS, CDMA, LTE.
• Familiarity with RF related regulatory specifications such as FCC/CE and PTCRB.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks.
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills, including failure analysis.
• Strong verbal and written communications in English and technical leadership skills.
