About this roll* (Responsibilities)
We’re looking for a Principal Designer with a proven track record of bringing extraordinary consumer experiences to life. You’ll be at the heart of our consumer push, transforming how millions of people discover and engage with dining.
- Visionary Leadership: Your influence will extend from initial strategy through to final design execution. With a service design mindset, you’ll bring big ideas, a commitment to excellence, and the discipline to deliver experiences that are both delightful and functional, setting the standard for Toast’s consumer experience.
- Craft and Execution: As both a leader and collaborator, you’ll elevate our team’s work by fusing your creativity with an exacting attention to detail. You have a vision bigger than yourself and the humility to see it realized in close partnership with other designers, product teams, and engineers. You understand how to bring experiences to life whether you’re designing in figma or in code.

The base salary range for this role is listed below. The starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards components include cash compensation (overtime, bonus/commissions if eligible), equity, and benefits.

$157,000—$251,000 USD
