TITLE: Principal Engineer I
LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO
JOB SUMMARY: Implement ETL (Extract- Transform- Load) scripts against high volume databases in Oracle 10 using Talend and Attunity tools to support middleware services for orchestration and activation of Charter's service offerings. Analyze data extracted from CSG billing system and IT Services Activation Provisioning database in Oracle Unified Inventory Management (UIM). Create scripts to identify and report on data discrepancies by comparing data from multiple data sources. Implement, design, and execute project deliverables, and estimate the scope of work. Deliver quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. Actively and independently acquire and analyze data for software process evaluation improvements, as well as integrate them into business processes to address business needs. Perform quality audits on ETL scripts to ensure adherence with quality standards, procedures and methodologies. Ensure alignment between business operational strategies and quality assurance for Charter products. Diagnose complex issues, evaluate, recommend, and execute the best resolution.
EDUCATION/REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering or a related field. 5 years of experience: with the Software Delivery Life Cycle, including the use of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies; and in software development utilizing Extract - Transform - Load tools including Attunity or Talend. 2 years of experience analyzing data retrieved from Oracle UIM provisioning database. 1 year of experience analyzing data retrieved from CSG billing system.
A hybrid (in office and remote) work arrangement is available.
