Principal Associate, Mainstreet Acquisitions Marketing - First-Party Marketing (Hybrid)
We are seeking an innovative Marketer to drive product acquisition campaigns, creative strategy and learning agendas across our Mainstreet Acquisitions first-party marketing programs. The right candidate will have experience translating audience insights into marketing plans, building testing agendas and collaborating with partners to build, execute and optimize campaigns by leveraging new MarTech capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive ongoing consumer journey-driven marketing strategies and testing agendas for first-party programs in digital channels including email, mobile app, SMS and our website
- Synthesize consumer research insights, marketing trends, competitive landscape, and macro external factors to identify new strategic recommendations to improve marketing and business results
- Influence partners through data-backed storytelling
- Partner with a broad set of cross-functional partners to build and launch campaigns through Salesforce Marketing Cloud and internal platforms
- Collaborate with business analyst teams to understand total business performance and build on analysis to identify new opportunities and adjust marketing/ testing strategies
- Write clear and concise creative briefs, test documents, test plans and strategies, driving continued performance and optimization against KPIs across channels
- Continuously invest in opportunities to learn about and adopt new capabilities to build value-backed testing roadmaps and capture lessons learned to inform other program strategies

- Displays an ownership mindset of the work and is viewed as a program and process expert by peers
- Thrives in ambiguity and is eager to come up with creative solutions to solve problems
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
- At least 4 years of experience in product marketing or multi-channel digital marketing
- At least 4 years developing marketing test frameworks, driving optimization plans and creative strategy
- At least 4 years of managing creative processes, partnering with creative and channel teams, and developing creative strategies and briefs
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of experience in marketing for financial services or another highly regulated industry
- At least 2 years of experience working with marketing tech platforms, including data management platforms and/or customer relationship management systems (preferred: Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Workfront)
- At least 4 years of experience working with cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with a track record of effectively working autonomously and navigating ambiguity

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Associate, Marketing
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
