The insurance Actuarial Group of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is currently recruiting for a Lead Pricing Actuary role to provide support to Everest’s Casualty Insurance business.  This is a hybrid position based out of our Warren or New York City offices; other locations may also be considered.  The ideal candidate will be high-energy, with a strong desire to learn and develop, and be attracted to the opportunity to develop new tools & capabilities within a rapidly expanding business.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Continuous communication with Underwriting and support to develop strategic initiatives

• Development and enhancement of rating models

• Planning and portfolio strategy, including periodic ELR analyses and deep dive studies

• Portfolio price and risk monitoring

• New product development

• Large account pricing referrals

Qualifications, Education & Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in the property-casualty insurance industry with significant commercial line pricing experience

• Anywhere from ACAS to FCAS

• Experience in Energy/Environmental pricing is a plus

• Excel expertise a must

• Proficiency in at least one of the following is a plus: SQL, Excel VBA, Power BI, R, SAS, Python

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies: 

• Enjoys fostering collaborative relationships

• Flexible and responsive to dynamic business needs including tight turnaround times

• Comfortable with autonomy, responsibility and visibility

• Detail-oriented with strong problem solving skills and ability to learn concepts and software tools quickly

• Very strong written and communication skills that cover experience communicating with analytical stakeholders as well as business-oriented stakeholders

For NY Only: The base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $165,000 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
