The Price Book Specialist assists and works with the Global Category and Operations teams to implement and execute internal price book functions and changes. Works with PB Implementation Manager to ensure and enforce process and data integrity in all aspects of EDI resources & Pricebook implementation. Is a liaison with all stakeholders to optimize the process and information flow to ensure timely and accurately implementation of PB changes and updates.

 “Gauges” of Responsibility  

  • Ensures daily that all Cherwell PB tickets from site managers are addressed.
  • Implements the set-up of new vendors, products, promotions, categories and pricing as directed by PB manager using PDI Enterprise.
  • Reviews, processes and troubleshoots order generation to wholesalers and other vendors daily.
  • Works with EDI vendors to track missing invoices and cost/retail issues.
  • Maintain open contact with Store Managers and Territory Managers to troubleshoot non-scanning items, pricing discrepancies or inventory control issues.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with the category management team to align on planogram reset strategies, goals, and execution plans.
  • Collects, reviews and implements all monthly and bimonthly promotional activity from category management in PDI Enterprise as directed by PB Manager on a timely basis.
  • Creates and distributes all monthly promotional activity to the field as directed by category management.
  • Receives, distributes, collects and processes all weekly price changes from distributors and other vendor price changes as they occur.
  • Works with retail accounting when needed to troubleshoot Daily Reporting Errors.
  • Maintains integrity in PLU file for all users.
  • Maintain strong vendor relations, may require requesting vendor/item catalog files and/or maintaining catalog files.

Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience            
  • Extensive familiarity with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database programs.
  • Data entry experience: price book or related business field is preferred.
  • Capable of making public presentations.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision.
  • May be required to attend training out of state for a period of 1-2 weeks.

Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in business admin or information technology or equivalent work experience
