PR Manager

Snowflake is experiencing exponential growth and we are expanding our APJ public

relations team to help us scale. We are looking for a PR Manager with a passion for

communications and technology, that showcases the unique innovations the Data Cloud

brings to Korea.

This role demands a skilled collaborator with a good understanding of B2B technology, and

great relationships across key media and analysts in Korea. You will play a pivotal role in

shaping Snowflake’s external communications strategy to reach key industry audiences

through customer and partner storytelling, industry trends, and thought leadership. The role

reports to the Director PR (APJ), and can be based in Seoul, Korea.

As the PR Manager (Korea), you will own: 

● Thought Leadership: Stay up-to-date on national and industry opportunities to

position Snowflake as a technology thought leader across industries. Collaborate

with internal experts to create and promote thought leadership content that

establishes Snowflake as a leading force in data management and analytics.

Collaborate with SMEs to craft and promote compelling content. 

● Media and Analyst Engagement: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with

key trade/industry, business media and analysts. Develop and pitch stories that

showcase Snowflake's impact on businesses and industries. Secure positive

coverage that emphasises our customer success. You will also manage the local PR

agency.

● Customer and Partner Success Storytelling: Identify and engage with Snowflake

customers and partners to create compelling stories and testimonials that highlight

the key product capabilities and business value they’ve achieved with Snowflake

Data Cloud across press releases, earned media articles, podcast interviews and

other media channels. 

● Industry Programs: Become the go-to PR expert for industry-focused campaigns in

Korea. Develop unique stories and programs that spotlight Snowflake’s innovation

and AI leadership through pace of innovation, industry vertical messaging, partner,

day-to-day PR activities, and customer storytelling. 

● Content Creation: Craft messaging and materials that resonate with key audiences

across industries, including pitches, press releases, bylines, media briefs, social

media content, etc. 

● Team Collaboration: Work as a key member of the broader business, marketing

and corporate communications team, offering collaboration, ideas, and support

beyond customer and industry responsibilities. 

Our ideal PR Manager (Korea) will have: 

● 8-10 years of public relations experience focused on PR in one or more of

Snowflake's key industries (finserv, media, entertainment, retail CPG, healthcare,

public sector, manufacturing, and telecom), either in-house or with an agency.

Experience managing external agencies will be beneficial.

● Demonstrated ability to develop and manage relationships with key business and

trade media, and analysts in Korea.

● Experience creating messaging and narratives, including sourcing stories

opportunities, spokespeople, and driving content through to results. 

● Ability to understand and translate complex technology concepts into messaging that

resonates in a given industry through public relations strategies, thought leadership,

and compelling stories.

● Excellent written communication and creative storytelling skills 

● Excellent organization skills

● A proactive team-player with an entrepreneurial spirit

● BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
