Nutreco Exploration (NutEx) is the ingredient development partner for all Nutreco business lines—Trouw Nutrition and Skretting. About the Role

This is where you come in. As our new Portfolio & Tools Manager you will oversee NutEx’s project portfolio, as well as all NutEx tools. This is a dynamic and highly interactive role, ideally filled by someone who is well organized and flexible. Having finance experience is key; having innovation project management is a plus. The ideal candidate would have interest in Nutreco’s industry and mission, and particularly in product innovation. The Portfolio & Tools Manager will operate transversally across the 2 NutEx programs and functions and will work with Nutreco Corporate and its Business Lines Trouw Nutrition and Skretting.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Portfolio Management: Own the NutEx financial model, create and update business cases with the project owners. Track and report on value creation, and project and portfolio progress and performance.  

  • Resource management: Manage project and portfolio budgets and follow up on actuals. Align portfolio and resource decisions with the strategic goals of NutEx and its Business Partners. 

  • Finance support and reporting: Integrated profit reporting on NutEx products across Nutreco. Set up and execute recurring royalty calculations with business partners. Support internal NutEx and Corporate Finance function with finance activities and process improvements. 

  • Tools management: Be responsible for the continuous improvement and implementation of the NutEx tools. Train team members in its use and audit its effectiveness. 

Skills and Expertise: 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred. 

  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial data, assess project viability, and make strategic recommendations. 

  • Experience in project & portfolio management, resource allocation, preferably in a global organization. 

  • Excellent communication in English, as well as interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. 

  • Soft skills such as connectivity, adaptability, flexibility, thriving in dynamic and complex environments, proactive approach to problem-solving.
