Operating under two brand names (Securitas Direct & Verisure) we are seeking an experienced Platform Technical Lead.

As a Tech Lead at Verisure, you will play a pivotal role in leading a team of engineers and guiding the technical direction of our projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality software solutions, ensuring they align with our business objectives and meet the highest industry standards. You will be responsible for not only your own technical contributions but also for mentoring and coaching your team members to foster their growth and development.

Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and maintenance of software applications. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Architecture and Design: Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to define technical requirements and design scalable and robust software solutions. Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Development: Take an active role in software development, contributing to the codebase, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
• Project Management: Oversee project planning, task allocation, and timeline management to ensure project milestones are met. Identify and mitigate technical risks.
• Code Reviews: Conduct and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality, identify potential improvements, and ensure codebase consistency.
• Technical Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions. Collaborate with the team to address challenges and bottlenecks.
• Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and productive team environment. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA engineers, and designers, to deliver feature-rich software.
• Documentation: Ensure proper documentation of technical designs, procedures, and best practices for knowledge sharing and future reference.
• Innovation: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends. Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies and methodologies to enhance product development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a software engineer with at least 4 of hands-on coding experience.
• Strong leadership skills with experience leading or mentoring a development team.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes, Microservices, Java, REST, SOAP, Kafka
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovatively.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus.

Location 

The role will be located in Madrid.
