This position's primary responsibilities will be to schedule the De Soto boxing and die cutting departments, along with shipping components to other facilities via DRP orders. This position will also serve as backup for the other two production planners in De Soto.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
- Provide updated schedule to the production floor for boxing and die cutting.
- Review weekly demand for OT needs.
- Review customer demand and enter shop orders based on determined requirement using BPCS.
- Schedule shipments of components inventory to vendors and other Huhtamaki locations.
- Process purchase orders to vendors.
- Pack shop orders for distribution to appropriate department.
- Communicate regularly with customer service, production departments, shipping, etc. regarding order status.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2 years or more in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Word, Excel and Access
Experience with BPCS and/or Mapics helpful.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Employee will work in a manufacturing environment. Must be able up to 40 lbs., standing, walking, climbing, bending, twisting, crouching, push/pull, reach above shoulders a great amount of time and hand/finger dexterity required.
