Job Profile Summary
The Pipeline DOT Specialist will develop, manage and coordinate Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance activities associated with the DOT Operations & Maintenance Plans (49 CFR 192 & 49 CFR 195) for Liquid and Natural Gas Pipelines. This individual will work collectively with Operations, Pipeline Integrity, and Regulatory Departments to identify and ensure that ONEOK complies with the state and federal DOT rules and regulations. The DOT Specialist also directly supports ONEOK pipeline operations for natural gas and liquids pipelines applicable to DOT regulations. ONEOK operates liquid and gas pipelines spread throughout Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Develop, maintain and coordinate compliance activities associated with both the ONEOK Liquid and ONEOK Natural Gas DOT O&M Plans

Facilitate both internal and external audits

Lead and manage pipeline integrity assessment projects and perform necessary field activities associated with the assessment, including repairs on the pipeline

Support Pipeline Integrity Engineers when evaluating Pipeline Integrity assessment schedules and deadlines

Support PINDOT team when reviewing ONEOK Liquid and ONEOK Gas Integrity Management Programs (IMP)

Conduct incident investigations and manage action items identified from the investigations

Facilitate communication between ONEOK and the respective Office of Pipeline Safety for each state in which ONEOK operates

Manage and ensure the required training as dictated under the DOT O&M Plans are being facilitated

Oversee new pipeline construction project in order to verify compliance with O&M Plans

Coordinate Emergency Response Planning and facilitate drill activities

Manage Public Awareness Activities

Education
-
High School Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred
Work Experience
-
3 years experience with Operations, Pipeline Integrity, DOT, or safety regulatory compliance in the oil and gas pipeline field required

Experience dealing directly with regulators, contractors, employees and company management required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Must be capable of performing duties independently with minimal supervision

Basic computer skills to use Company e-mail, company issued software and hardware, and produce electronic reports

Must pass pre-employment background, driving record, drug screening and be subject to random DOT drug testing
