Job Title: People Relations Specialist

About the role

As a People Relations Specialist you will provide dedicated support to People Relations, implementing the operational plans that strengthen compliance, improve the people experience and case management, including high quality investigations and ensure consistency of employment related outcomes in the UK as well as supporting the entire team on global initiatives.
This newly formed role will support all businesses in the UK and initiatives globally. Success in the role is largely attributed to subject matter expertise, planning, organising, attention to detail as well as ability to operate as a global team.
BSI operates in a complex multi-jurisdictional environment, where legal requirements and mandated requirements continuously evolve and where we have both individual and collective arrangements in place across the world.
Responsibilities:
- Supports implementation of sustainable operational plans in the UK and where needed globally.
- Schedules regular calendar of interventions for education and skills building.
- As part of the People Relations Team, collaborates with Centres of Excellence (CoEs) to best leverage existing and new training/learning.
- Supports the development and maintenance of a readily accessible suite of core documentation.
- Seeks out opportunities for digitalisation.
- Delivers targets for reducing number of people relations cases, leveraging/operationalising policies, training etc and through the successful implementation of other solutions such as the Early Intervention Framework.
- Supports people relations cases predominantly in the UK, working directly with Investigating Managers utilising end to end infrastructure for case management (people, process/content, data, systems) for robust case management.
- Monitors and analyses case management data to identify themes, recommend and implement agreed areas for improvement.
Key Performance Indicators
- Advises and supports managers on conducting people relations cases as a specialist in this area across the region including accurate note/minute taking, record keeping and updating case management tracker for cases within remit.
- Supports delivery of the local Early Resolution Framework within, appropriate to size and caseload for the BSI location.
- Supports delivery of agreed people plan initiatives for the region within agreed timescales and quality.
- Supports in maintaining the global People Relations dashboard.
- Helps People Relations team drive reduction in people relations cases.
- In conjunction with the People Relations Partner, development of training material for Investigation Managers, People Team and other stakeholders as required on conduct of people relations processes.
- Identification of key themes and trends through analysis of case management data and implementing improvements to the extent agreed for the role.
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- Demonstratable experience within a previous People Relations role.
- Good understanding of Employment Law within your region.
- Excellent prioritisation & organisation skills.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Digital mindset - able to use data to support decisions.
- High attention to detail.
- Data analysis / numeracy skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Additional language skills desirable.
