About the Role
This role blends recruiting with traditional HR generalist responsibilities: the focus will naturally shift between these responsibilities depending on current company needs, creating a dynamic yet sustainable workload. Reporting to the VP of People, you'll be a trusted partner to hiring managers and employees, ensuring a smooth and positive experience throughout the employee lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
Recruiting:
- Manage the full-cycle recruiting process, from sourcing and screening to offer negotiation and onboarding.
- Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates through various channels (job boards, social media, networking, etc.).
- Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and develop compelling job descriptions.
- Lead the 360-degree review process with hiring managers, ensuring a thorough evaluation of candidates and driving consensus on final hiring decisions.
- Manage applicant tracking system (ATS) data and generate recruiting reports.
- Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline for current and future openings.
- Work to improve and maintain the employer brand.
HR/People Operations
- Lead employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records.
- Support employee inquiries regarding People Operations policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment and communication.
- Help to maintain and improve company culture through events, DEI programming, and our team member recognition program
- Own HRIS and benefit vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy through audits and ongoing maintenance
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects, demonstrating versatility and gaining exposure to diverse HR functions and initiatives
What You'll Bring
- 3-5 years of HR / People Operations experience within a high-growth tech company or start-up. Familiarity with a fully remote working environment is preferred
- 2-3 years of full-cycle recruiting and/or sourcing experience, including using and optimizing Greenhouse ATS
- Current PHR/SHRM (or equivalent) certification or the ability (and desire) to become certified within 12 months of hire
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- High emotional and social intelligence with experience fostering positive, strong relationships with diverse groups of people
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate a high level of professionalism
- Self-motivation with the ability to think “ten steps ahead"
- Passion for people and how they function together to create a valuable organization
- The ability to travel ~10% (as needed to be onsite in our Cleveland office, mostly for new hire orientation)
