The Position:
We are seeking experienced and passionate Automotive Mechanics who are ready to take the next step in their careers. Join our dynamic team as a Roadside Patrol Mechanic and help us deliver exceptional assistance to our members when they need it most.
About the Role:
Working on a flexible rotating roster between 6:00am and 11:30pm, Monday to Sunday, your key responsibilities will include:

Responding to roadside assistance callouts, providing prompt and effective mechanical support to RAC members.

Diagnosing and troubleshooting a wide range of vehicle breakdowns with efficiency and precision.

Performing minor mechanical repairs, adjustments, and services including battery replacements, tyre changes, and jump-starts.

Delivering outstanding customer service, ensuring member safety and satisfaction during challenging situations.

Coordinating with towing services or other specialist support where necessary.

Maintaining accurate and detailed service records in line with RAC’s policies and procedures.

Start your day from a designated RAC location.
What We’re Looking For:
To be successful in this role, you will possess:

Proven experience as an Automotive Mechanic with strong diagnostic and repair capabilities across various makes and models.

Relevant trade qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a related field.

A Motor Vehicle Repairer’s Licence (light vehicle repairs mandatory).
-
A current and valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
-
Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work independently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for helping others.

A customer-first mindset, with the ability to provide calm and supportive assistance under pressure.
