The Partnership Development Consultant is responsible for recruiting, developing, and managing strategic partners within the Deel Local Payroll Partner Program, now part of Deel’s ecosystem. This role drives revenue growth by enabling partners to effectively sell Deel Local Payroll powered by PaySpace, a cutting-edge solution leveraging a trusted payroll engine configured and localised for country-specific payroll requirements. The consultant will guide partners through the sales cycle and support their progression through different program tiers.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Partner Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Proactively identify, recruit, and pre-qualify potential strategic partners aligned with Deel’s objectives.

  • Onboard new partners, ensuring they understand the benefits of Deel Local Payroll powered by PaySpace and the tools and resources available to support their success.

  • Communicate the advantages of the PaySpace engine’s real-time payroll capabilities and its scalability for meeting market needs in Africa and the Middle East (AME).

2. Partner Development and Enablement

  • Guide partners through their maturity journey within the Deel Partner Program, providing tailored support at each level.

  • Deliver training, sales enablement materials, and product knowledge sessions to partners, focusing on the unique capabilities of Deel Local Payroll powered by PaySpace

  • Equip partners with updated tools, such as sales collateral, pricing calculators, and deal registration processes, to maximise opportunities and drive indirect sales.

3. Sales Pipeline and Opportunity Management

  • Manage and track partner opportunities using the Partner Relationship Manager (PRM) platform, ensuring visibility into pipelines and conversion metrics.

  • Manage and track partner-related opportunities on the Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) platform.

  • Collaborate with partners on opportunity logging, lead qualification, and deal progression.

  • Monitor and report on partner sales activity, ensuring alignment with Deel’s revenue and growth targets.

4. Strategic Market Expansion

  • Assist partners in developing targeted sales strategies for market growth in Africa and the Middle East (AME), leveraging Deel Local Payroll powered by PaySpace as the core solution.

  • Collaborate on joint marketing initiatives, including webinars, events, and co-branded campaigns, to increase Deel’s visibility and adoption.

  • Leverage partner networks to identify and secure new business opportunities in the Africa and the Middle East (AME) markets.

5. Partner Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with partners to foster long-term collaboration.

  • Conduct regular check-ins and performance reviews to identify opportunities for growth and address challenges.

  • Manage and monitor partner incentives to drive engagement and motivate high performance.

6. Brand Advocacy and Change Management

  • Act as a brand advocate, highlighting the unique capabilities of Deel Local Payroll powered by PaySpace

  • Support partners in understanding the unified configuration and localised compliance capabilities of Deel’s payroll solutions.

  • Share success stories and wins to inspire confidence in the Deel ecosystem and encourage active participation among partners.

 Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.

  • 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or partner management, preferably in SaaS or HR/payroll solutions.

Skills and Attributes

  • Proven track record in sales and relationship management.

  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence partner performance.

  • Proficiency with Partner Relationship Manager (PRM) and Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) software or tools for managing pipelines and opportunities.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly.

  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to balance empathy for legacy concerns with enthusiasm for Deel Local Payroll powered by PaySpace

  • Skilled in communicating product transitions and handling change management with external stakeholders
