Job Description

Since being founded in Helsinki, Finland, in 2014, Wolt has grown into a global company with over 12,000 team members across 27 countries. We partner with over 260,000 courier partners worldwide, helping people achieve their goals by earning what they need, when they need it, and on their own terms. Wolt’s courier model offers a valuable addition to the labor market while bringing joy and simplicity to the neighborhoods of the world.

As we navigate the complex dynamics of public perception and regulatory challenges, we are looking for a skilled and proactive Partner Communications Manager to join our communications team, reporting to the Global Head of Partner Comms in Helsinki. This role will be an integral part of the global Partner Communications team and central to shaping the public narrative about couriers and platform work. We’re seeking a motivated and creative thinker who understands societal and political dynamics, can execute beyond press releases, and thinks digital first.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communications and public affairs strategies, ensuring alignment between Wolt’s public policy objectives and external messaging—from strategy to hands-on execution and reporting.

  • Diversify the channels that Wolt communicates on; execute visual and simple communications campaigns on social media and other channels.

  • Shape how Wolt and our courier model are perceived in public discussions on traditional and social media.

  • Collaborate with the public policy team to support public policy campaigns. For example, amplifying reports and research findings in engaging and creative ways, ensuring they resonate with the public, media, and policymakers.

  • Create practical guidance, playbooks, and best practices to empower global, regional, and local teams to manage communications activities on courier topics independently.

  • Provide media training, talking points, and strategic support to executives and local teams to act as spokespersons.

  • Monitor public perception and media coverage, making necessary adjustments to align with public discussions and policy goals.

  • Work closely with Legal, Operations, Product, Marketing, and other internal teams to ensure an integrated approach to communications.

Qualifications

Our Humble Expectations

  • 5+ years of experience in media relations, public affairs, strategic communications, or policy communications, ideally within the platform economy or tech sector.

  • Proven ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders and drive projects independently while managing multiple priorities.

  • Excellent writing skills in English, with the ability to adjust the tone for different audiences and simplify complex topics.

  • Experience in social media engagement, with a digital-first mindset to shape public discussions and inform policymakers.

You Will Thrive in This Role If You…

  • Are a proactive problem solver, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, and quick to adjust plans.

  • Understand societal sensitivities and can manage high-stakes, sensitive topics with empathy and precision.

  • Are a creative thinker who goes beyond traditional PR and PA strategies and thinks digital first.

  • Collaborate effectively across teams and manage multiple stakeholders with ease.

  • Take ownership of your work, delivering results independently while empowering others with tools and guidance.
