The position of Parts Program Manager at Sika Japan, Automotive and Industry is a key role responsible for managing the development and implementation of projects related to Damp and Baffle solutions for OEM customers. This position involves both technical and managerial responsibilities, requiring the candidate to lead a small team, oversee the project lifecycle, and ensure customer satisfaction while aligning with Sika's business objectives.

Leader of Project Team with responsibility for project budget and its tracking.
Leading development of part design and responsibility for part function
Customer / Supplier / Internal technical interface
Responsible for project timing plan
Customer Specs analysis, Functional Analysis, Internal Specifications and Feasibility Study
Project Summary preparation, update and workflow follow-up
Project team reviews, Customer / Internal / Supplier Kick-Off meetingsProject files according to IATF 16949 processes
CAD Inputs, D-FMEA, DVP definition and follow-up – together with CAD, CAE, PE, QA
Design Reviews, Drawing Release – Internal/Customer/Supplier
Challenge D&D group for Design to Cost
Guidelines knowledge and feedback to D&D, return of experiences
Change Management (EC)
Push and promote Sika Technologies at the customer
Support to 8D reports (causes analysis)
Definition of manufacturing technology, tooling layout, subcontracting Specs consolidation
Involvement in nomination process and program targets, supplier evaluation
Cost Optimization at each level of the project
Report and review monthly activities with provided tools
Project Management Reviews and its documentation
Continuous improvements proposals
資格
Qualifications
- Have 3-7 years Program Management and engineering design experience in the automotive industry.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects from start to finish.
- Excellent technical knowledge related to automotive parts (especially Damp and Baffle solutions).
- Familiarity with plastic injection molding and extrusion process tooling and part design is required
- Strong problem-solving abilities and technical acumen, especially in managing the development of automotive components.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to work with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a small team, ensuring high performance and alignment with company objectives.
- Have strong sense of responsibility to meet the due date and end result. Understand what he/she is requested to do and strive to accomplish the goals
- Able to think, explain and analyze logically,Open-minded, self-motivated, self-driven
- Proactively tackle complex issues and environment and analyze and find solutions by cooperating with his/her managers as well as other departments
- A native speaker of Japanese language, Fluent in English
