Paralegal II
About the role
Are you a proponent of providing top-level legal guidance and support? This position involves supporting our team on legal matters, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, and risk management within Real Estate Transactions. We're on the lookout for a Paralegal II who will play a crucial role in supporting the legal team with various tasks. Based in our New York office on you’ll be mitigating legal risks and protecting the company's interests.
What you’ll be doing
As part of the Legal team, you’ll play a vital role in filing, maintaining, and organizing corporate compliance documents. At all levels, colleagues will rely on your organization and drafting to enhance efficiency within the department. It’s a role with a lot of variety, and day-to-day, you’ll mainly be involved with:
- File, maintain, and organize corporate compliance documents.
- Prepare legal agreement summaries and insert key terms into approval forms for internal routing.
- Act as a legal team point of contact (POC) for DocuSign. Track and communicate progress on document routing to internal stakeholders.
- Assist with corporate compliance tasks and monitoring.
- Prepare cover letters and other legal correspondence as assigned.
- Draft and process non-disclosure agreements.
- Assist with daily legal inquiries and requests for agreements.
- Draft minor amendments.
- Conduct legal research on various legal topics
- Assist attorneys with other tasks, as assigned
What you’ll bring

- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ year of relevant paralegal experience
- Paralegal certification
- Ability to conduct preliminary research
- Ability to organize/manage projects and processes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of firm personnel and clients
- Highly organized, tech savvy, a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
