Job Purpose/Overview
The PaPM Platform Manager plays a vital role in the development, deployment and maintenance of SAP PaPM solutions, designed to enhance global financial and operational processes and performance. As part of the FinTech Insights & Reporting team, this role collaborates closely with internal and external stakeholders to refine existing processes, manages new business use cases and projects, and strives to maximize the potential of the PaPM Platform in support of Mars’ digital transformation journey.
Context and Scope
Utilizing SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) solution, the PaPM Platform Manager has both functional and technical expertise to develop, deploy and maintain innovative and sustainable solutions that address specific business requirements. An independent problem solver with a passion for quality, this individual excels at analyzing large, complex data sets and transforming insights into sustainable, high-quality PaPM models that deliver meaningful results and drive valuable business decisions. This individual should be proficient in embracing new technology and will need to be creative and willing to work in an ambiguous environment. To be effective in this role, this candidate must be able to communicate and collaborate across multiple levels in a broad variety of circumstances.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop/Deploy New Use Cases: Partner with internal and external project teams to define, develop, and deploy innovative and sustainable solutions that address specific business requirements related intercompany cross-charging and transfer pricing calculations. - Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify data gaps/anomalies, perform root cause analysis, assess impacts and build contingencies to address while maintaining a customer centric mindset. Ensure optimal system and process performance by actively monitoring and optimizing processes as needed.
- Data Modeling & Analysis: Model concepts using Data Analytics tools to simulate scenarios, identify process gaps, and analyze change impacts via regression testing prior to development or deployment in PaPM
- Customer Support: Partner with internal stakeholders to review model effectiveness and provide recommendations for process and data improvements that will drive desired results. Drive customer engagement with PaPM solutions by delivering training, providing ongoing support, and actively collaborating with end users.
- Period End Close Support: Perform period end maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting as needed to deliver results timely and accurately.
What are we looking for? Education & Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent in work experience
- Minimum 4+ years finance/accounting experience in CPG
- Minimum 2+ years PaPM Systems, Developer or Consultant experience (preferred)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Data Analytics tools (e.g. Alteryx, Tableau or similar)
- Proficiency in SAP HANA Modeling (preferred)
- SAP certification in Profitability and Performance Management (preferred)
Knowledge / Experience
- Strong functional finance skills/knowledge of financial processes (e.g., cost allocations, transfer pricing)
- Proven track record and experience in SAP Central Finance implementations in a highly complex systems and project environment (preferred)
- Knowledge of SAP architecture, processes and data structures (preferred)
- Ability to design allocations / distributions in SAP or comparable
- Ability to build and configure financial data models, business rules, and cost allocations in SAP PaPM (preferred)
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams across multiple locations and time zones
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and technology
- Proactive self-starter with high learning agility

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offered and the employee’s work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
