Your role:

Strategy defines an organization's future and creates the experiences, services, and tools that will realize it. Our Strategy Director is responsible for leading large-scale project engagements, building sustainable client relationships and driving growth through organic and new business. This position requires a dynamic, self-motivated and proven individual with experience leading clients and project teams through different types of brand and business challenges across different industry sectors. 

The Strategy Director works closely with the Head of Strategy as well as the design team, client experience, and new business teams.

 

Primary responsibilities:

The Strategy Director is both a seasoned branding professional and key client advisor and will lead with the qualities that promote great work, great culture, great thinking and financial success. 

  • Lead a full breadth of B2B and B2C brand transformation projects (e.g., market research, positioning, architecture, naming, activation) across industries and with companies of all sizes and stages—from start-ups to mature enterprises.
  • Provide strategic leadership to cross-discipline FutureBrand project teams, providing clear, confident, and inspiring leadership
  • Create clear and compelling storylines that are strategically sound and emotionally provocative
  • Anticipate and understand client needs, translating them into actionable briefs with thoughtfully scoped and priced deliverables
  • Seamlessly integrate strategy, creative and account teams throughout the lifecycle of a project in order to help ensure on-brand activation and execution at all stages of the relationship
  • Mentor and support team members, monitor progress on a consistent basis and remain open and available
  • Ensure profitability of project by properly scoping deliverables and work streams
  • Take the lead on leveraging, optimizing and enhancing FutureBrand’s proprietary tools and frameworks
  • Proactively identify opportunities for additional ways in which FutureBrand and/or digital and environmental specialties can help our clients’ brands succeed
  • Contribute to our culture by being inclusive of diverse perspectives and styles

 

Qualifications:

Education & Experience 

  • A minimum of 10-12 years of related work experience in brand strategy, brand management, corporate branding, digital strategy, innovation or strategic planning

Skills & Competencies

Compensation and Benefits:

 

  • Salary $175,000 – 225,000
