Position Purpose:
The Operations Specialist supports valves and actuators production from a technical standpoint and has a solid understanding of the product being produced. This role serves as the first line of defense and consultant to shop-floor workers regarding production-related issues, solving difficult manufacturing problems and implementing process and product improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use Lean tools and drive process improvements for new and existing products.
- Resolve manufacturing floor issues and assist in Root Cause Analysis.
- Write and revise work instructions and other manufacturing documentation.
- Train production team members.
- Evaluate new tooling and recommend new standards.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Solid written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong understanding of Lean principles.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in computer skills (e.g. Excel, Word, SAP/WISE, CAD, etc..).
- Ability to manufacture complex parts or assemblies and interpret schematics or drawings.
- At least 2 years’ experience in supporting production in industrial environment
- Technical high school diploma or equivalent
- Two shifts work
