About the Position
The Operations team is critical to our trading at Jane Street. The team manages the processes that connect us to the outside world, and those that connect us internally. As a member of the team, you’ll play a key role in an area focused on trade settlements, trade record and position management, or cost and cash management.
You’ll work closely with external service providers and trading partners, as well as colleagues in your local office and our other locations around the world, to resolve issues that arise from our complex trading flows and ensure our processes are running smoothly.
Operations is a collaborative, integrated group where the pace is quick and the best idea wins. We aim to move assets, information, and ideas in ways that are accurate, controlled, and efficient. There are many tough problems to solve, and we are big believers in finding exceptional, smart people to tackle them.
About You
- 3-5 years of financial industry experience
- Enjoy working with large datasets to find patterns and identify irregularities
- Can easily navigate Excel, and enjoy finding faster ways to process data
- Critical thinker with an eye for details
- Self-starter who can multitask in a fast-moving, highly intellectual environment
- Humble; not afraid to ask questions and admit mistakes
- Reliable and flexible team player with a positive demeanor
- Enjoy working in an environment of continuous learning and professional growth
- Fluency in English is required
