PCG is seeking a motivated, organized, and data-driven Manager to oversee the CalWORKs South Region Employment Services operation. The Employment Services Manager will be responsible for directing the daily operations of the South Region Employment Services team.
This individual will provide day-to-day leadership in a collaborative manner, ensuring that program goals and objectives are met by executing standard processes and efficiently organizing staff activities. The Manager will evaluate staff performance and authorize staff development and training activities. They will maintain a consistent work pace, adhere to schedules, and meet both regularly recurring and ad hoc deadlines.
This role is ideal for a public sector manager or a manager from customer service-based field, who has operations management or administrative management responsibilities along with several years of relevant experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the South Regions Employment Services team and providing effective methods in its business operations.
  • Develop, interpret and implements company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with these policies, prepares related reports and audits.
  • Supports accurate management reporting, information flow and organizational planning.
  • Manage the proper execution of standard operating procedures for the Employment Services operation
  • Lead a manager and supervisor team to achieve excellent contract performance, meaningful outputs, and adherence to stringent federal, state, county, and company objectives.
  • Improves the operational systems and processes to support organizations and client’s goals.
  • Manages and increases the effectiveness and efficiency of support services.
  • Establishes accountability practices and ensures measurable outcomes
  • Coordinates communication between support and business functions.
  • Leads and directs the work of the South Regions Employment Services Unit. Including Supervisors, Leads and Employment Training Advisors.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all project activities within project team, management and the client.
  • Provides project management and leadership.
  • Provides coaching, training, and development to direct staff
  • Analyzes quality and staff performance trends to provide recommendations for improvement
  • Provides ongoing timely communication with leadership teams including senior staff from government agencies and other key stakeholders/organizations.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the client.
  • Ability to travel to all different regions based on business needs

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree required
  • Bachelors degree or higher preferred, in Social Work, Public Policy, or other related fields
  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in the field. 2+ years of experience with direct supervisory or management experience.

Working Conditions

In Office Work

20% Travel to CalWORKs offices within South, Central and East Regions of San Diego.

As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $69,600-$123,400 annually, in addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
