Job Family Definition:
Directs and leads a staff responsible for overseeing one or more sales operations areas, including sales support, sales processing, sales operations, account operations, and sales compensation operations. Develops strategies and performance plans to support a culture of customer, partner, and sales experience and process quality within their organization. Consults and interacts with corporate, business, and function sales leadership to achieve desired business revenue and order performance results. Responsible for design and implementation of sales operations tools, systems, processes and solutions, including strategies, communication, analytics and training. Ensures sales operations are aligned with overall business objectives in order to balance operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.
Management Level Definition:
Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages non-exempt/exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management. Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' work may involve strategic issues. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Typically reports to MG2 or Director.
What you’ll do:
Responsibilities:

Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors supporting operations systems and processes for the sales organization
-
Oversees the development, implementation and utilization of systems supporting sales operations processes, including pricing, order management, invoicing, opportunity assessment, field inventory management and other sales pipeline analytics and forecasting solutions
-
Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing initiatives, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated, and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.

Communicates operations status and escalates issues to direct managers, sales managers, program managers, and internal and external partners.

Manages relationships with internal and external partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, quality, schedules, and costs
-
ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.

Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.

Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans, coaching, and career development
-
ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.
Additional guidance/criteria:

Manages and controls activities within a single country or a sub-region which is part of a larger geographical Region.

Manages at least 4 employees and typically between 8 and 15 direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.

Education and Experience Required:

First level university degree or equivalent experience required. May have advanced university degree.
