Iron Mountain’s Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) business is looking for students for a Summer semester for its Stow, OH facility. This internship is a track to become a lead or supervisor within 2 years post internship.
Our ALM business is responsible for the deployment, management, and ultimate decommissioning and disposition of technology assets. These include hard drives, servers, laptops, tablets, and network devices that contain customer or organizational data that needs utmost safeguarding when they reach their end of useful life. In the process, we sanitize, clean, and remove the data from the IT assets and recycle or repurpose them in a sustainable and environmentally sound way.
As part of the Operations Internship program, you will receive on the job training and gain exposure to several areas of Operations within Iron Mountain. During the internship, you will be able to complete real world work along with multiple internal Iron Mountain teams while contributing to our digital growth aspirations. You will also experience:

Job Overview
- Input data into multiple software applications
- Follow production procedures and complete internal documentation & tracking
- Prepare documentation for scanning by sorting and preparing hard copy records
- Track and report test yields and problem issues
- Inbound Receiving and Outbound Shipping
- Maintain stockroom inventory and receiving dock area through organization and cleanliness; continuously driving improvements
- Keep equipment operating properly by learning and enforcing operating procedures, troubleshooting breakdowns, and scheduling preventive maintenance and repairs
- Coordinate recycling and refuse scheduling
- Proactively support the safety of the environment & occupants and ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work.
Qualifications
- Education Qualifications: Currently pursuing an Associates degree
- Must be enrolled in a local community college in Spring and/or Fall semester
- Pursuing a discipline in IT Hardware (Computers, Networking,etc) or strong desire to understand technology hardware
- Participation in the internship program requires that you are located and able to work at our Stow facility
- This is a 20-40 hours per week program (Monday-Friday)
Travel
Iron Mountain has facilities worldwide and does work with clients at customer sites, although you may not ever have to travel there could be instances where traveling for your position may be required.
