Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add an Operations Engineering Intern located in our Salt Lake City, Utah site.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams as well as supporting the department in manufacturing process improvement projects, metrics management and training.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Work with production management team, operational process, and testing
  • Exposure to 3 different operational builds: Server Test, Server build and Rack build
  • Collaborate with cross functional support teams: Quality, Training, Engineering, IT, Warehouse, etc.
  • Create a PowerPoint presentation of learnings and feedback from different department areas in Operations at the end of the project and present in a group session
  • Complete Kaizen activity as assigned
  • Attend team meetings and Team Building Activities onsite and offsite

Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

  • Junior/Senior level student pursuing Engineering degree related to Production/Operations/Process/Manufacturing
  • Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
  • Operations/production field related work experience, useful
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Electrical pallet jack and Warehouse experience, helpful
  • Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
  • Previous internship experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting; a plus!

Internship Program Requirements:

  • Available to start on May 27th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
  • Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university (undergrad program)
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
