The Opportunity:

Our Operations Associate will work within our Investment Team to ensure departmental efficiency and project completion within day-to-day operations. This is a unique opportunity to utilize your organizational and analytical skills and enhance your career in the sports and live event industry. How your role contributes to the success of Vivid Seats:  

  • Data entry including unique ticket info such as performer, event, date, and seat locations provides buyers and sellers the information they need to post and purchase inventory with confidence 
  • Ensure accuracy of ticketing assets and their corresponding marketplace listings maintains our foundation of an authoritative and trusted marketplace 
  • Maintain organized and accurate records of all transactions. 
  • Communicate with vendors via phone or email to build and maintain relationships 
  • Provide feedback on development of new processes to improve operational efficiency and departmental organization 

How your role expectations will progress as an Operations Associate in the first 30, 90, and 180 days:  

30 days in  

  • Complete new hire orientation, gaining the resources you need to be successful 
  • Learn how ticket marketplaces operate and how you’ll contribute to providing great experiences for our customers 
  • Acclimate to team and company norms, business objectives, and Vivid Seats values 
  • Learn the basics of your department’s bookkeeping methods 
  • Practice utilizing our internal inventory management system 

90 days in  

  • Contribute to our approaches, methods, or technologies to support overall business goals and drive team efficiencies 
  • Maintain, harvest and aid internal and external relationships to achieve progress and advance objectives 
  • Complete specific tasks based on strict deadlines regarding inventory management 
  • Help maintain your department’s centralized email communication 
  • Independently reconcile departmental transactions 
  • Familiarize yourself with our robust database of vendors and clients

 180 days in  

  • Apply methods to execute individual tasks that positively impacts the team 
  • Play an active role in continued learnings to advance skill sets necessary for team goals 
  • Manage the logistics of inventory receipt via vendor & client communication
  • Organize your department’s centralized email communication and team calendar 

What You’ll Bring:  

  • Demonstrated ability to critically think and problem solve 
  • Well organized ability to prioritize tasks, schedule, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • High quality of work due to your excellent attention to detail 
  • A strong sense of urgency coupled with an intrinsic desire to complete all tasks with 100% accuracy and efficiency 
  • Outstanding communication skills that lend itself to teamwork and lasting relationships 

 

Vivid Seats Pay Transparency Disclaimer: Full time offers from Vivid Seats include annual bonus incentives and equity for all employees; FLEX PTO; mental health days; medical, dental, and vision insurance; 401K matching; monthly credits and discounts for attending live events; and a variety of additional workplace perks. The typical starting salary within the full salary range for this position can range. Factors which may affect starting salary include geographic market, relevant skills/experience, education, and other qualifications. 

 Full Salary Range: $42,000 to $52,000 

Location: Chicago, IL
