The Role
As an Operational Risk Specialist, you will develop and maintain risk management frameworks, monitor key risk indicators, and provide guidance to business units. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective risk mitigation and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct operational risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies;
- Implement and maintain an effective operational risk management framework;
- Create and enhance risk management policies, procedures, and controls;
- Monitor key risk indicators and perform trend analysis;
- Provide guidance and support to business units in identifying and managing operational risks;
- Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure effective risk mitigation;
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry developments related to operational risk management;
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on operational risk management activities and findings.
To be considered you should have:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in operational risk management within the financial services industry;
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field;
- Strong knowledge of operational risk management frameworks and methodologies;
- Experience in developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies and controls;
- Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and identify trends;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
- Proficiency in risk management software and tools.
